25 Years Ago in the Nineties: Adam Ant “Room At The Top”
London-born musician Adam Ant gained fame with his song “Goody Two Shoes,” which hit number 12 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in 1983. Ant has, though, also scored two more Top 40 hits in his career, though they didn’t come until the 1990s. In 1995, “Wonderful” squeaked into the Top 40, peaking at number 39. Five years before that, in 1990, Ant scored his second Top 20 hit with “Room At The Top.” Exactly 25 years ago, “Room At The Top” was in the midst of a three-week run at its peak position of number 17.
