Collective Soul has made seven appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all in the 1990s, with three of those songs reaching the Top 40. Exactly 25 years ago, the band’s first hit, “Shine,” which was also their first song to appear on the chart, fell from its peak position of number 11.
