Oakland, California-based group En Vogue have hit the Top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart eleven times, with six of those songs reaching the Top 10. That Top 10 success began with the group’s first single, “Hold On,” which is one of three songs by En Vogue to peak at number 2 — the highest position the group has climbed on the chart. Exactly 25 years ago, En Vogue’s “Hold On” rose to the number 2 position for a one-week stay.
