25 Years Ago in the Nineties: George Michael and Queen “Somebody to Love”
In 1993, George Michael and Queen put out a five-song EP called Five Live that included a quintet of live performances, with Lisa Stansfield also featured on one of the songs. The album spawned one Top 40 hit with a remake of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” that Michael and Queen performed in Wembley Stadium in April 1992 at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Exactly 25 years ago, George Michael and Queen’s version of “Somebody to Love” rose to a peak position of number 30.
