25 Years Ago in the Nineties: Partners in Kryme “Turtle Power!”

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have gained renewed popularity since the release last year of a new film starring the quartet. That film marked the return to the big screen of TMNT after a hiatus of almost two and a half decades. In March of 1990, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted in theaters, and the film spawned the only appearance on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for New York-based duo Partners in Kryme. Exactly 25 years ago, Partners in Kryme’s “Turtle Power!” was rising into its peak position of number 13, where it would spend one week.
