Salt-N-Pepa rose to prominence in late 1987 and early 1988 with their Top 20 single “Push It.” It was the first of eight Top 40 singles on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart the trio have enjoyed in their career, which includes reaching the Top 40 with each of their first three charting singles.
