Of Hanover, Germany-based band Scorpions‘ six appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, their biggest hit was their lone Top 10 hit, “Wind of Change,” which was inspired by the ending of the Cold War that was occurring at the time of its writing and release. Exactly 25 years ago, “Wind of Change” climbed to a peak position of number 4, where it would spend one week.
