New York City-born musician Sophie B. Hawkins has made four appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all between 1992 and 1996. Her biggest hit was her first charting song, “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover,” which exactly 25 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 5.
