25 Years Ago in the Nineties: Vanessa Williams “Save the Best for Last”

New York City-born singer and actress Vanessa Williams has made thirteen appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with seven of those songs hitting the Top 40 and four reaching the Top 10. Amid that success, Williams’ biggest hit is “Save the Best or Last,” her third single from her second album, The Comfort Zone. Exactly 25 years ago, “Save the Best for Last” climbed to number one for a five-week reign.
