25 Years Ago in the Nineties: Whitney Houston “I’m Your Baby Tonight”

In November 1990, seeking to build off the tremendous success of her first two albums, Whitney Houston released her third album, I’m Your Baby Tonight. The album would produce four Top 20 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, the first two of which reached number one. Exactly 25 years ago, the album’s title song, which was also its debut single, took a final step in its quick rise to the top by climbing to number one for a one-week reign.
