New York City-based duo Wreckx-N-Effect made two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with a pair of singles between late 1992 and early 1993. The first of the two appearances produced their only Top 40 hit, and exactly 25 years ago, that song — “Rump Shaker” — was in its second week of a three-week run at a peak position of number 2.
