The three number one singles of Huey Lewis and the News‘ career came in a period of just over a year and half between August 1985 and March 1987. Those singles included “The Power Of Love,” “Stuck With You,” and “Jacob’s Ladder.” Exactly 30 years ago, the band reached number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for the first time when “The Power Of Love,” from the film Back To The Future, rose to the top spot for the first week of a two-week reign.
