Prague, Czechoslovakia-born musician Jan Hammer has appeared on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart just once, though in that one appearance he rose all the way to number one. Exactly 30 years ago, Jan Hammer’s theme song from the television show Miami Vice climbed to the top spot, where it would spend one week.
