DEF: Blondie “Rapture”

New York City-based band Blondie scored all of their four number one singles in a two-year period between the spring of 1979 and the spring of 1981. Exactly 35 years ago, the fourth of the band’s number one singles, “Rapture,” rose to the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for a two-week reign. To commemorate that anniversary, “Rapture” by Blondie is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
