Miami-based band OXO released just one album, their 1983 self-titled offering, and that one album produced just one appearance on Billboard‘s Hot 100. That one charting single, though, reached the Top 40, and on this date in 1983, that song — “Whirly Girl” — climbed to a peak position of number 28.
