DEF: Run-D.M.C. “Mary, Mary”
New York City-based trio Run-D.M.C. reached Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart four times in the 1980s, most successfully with their Top 10 hit “Walk This Way.” The group scored the last of their four charting singles for the decade with “Mary, Mary,” the only charting single from their 1988 album Tougher Than Leather. On this date that year, “Mary, Mary” climbed to a peak position of number 75. Today, “Mary, Mary” by Run-D.M.C. is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
