It Happened 50 Years Ago: Four Tops “Reach Out I’ll Be There”

Detroit-based vocal group Four Tops hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart twice. In June 1965, they reached number one with “I Can’t Help Myself.” Then, a little more than a year later, exactly 50 years ago, their song “Reach Out I’ll Be There” climbed to the top spot for a two-week reign.
