DEF: Cyndi Lauper “True Colors”

New York City-born musician Cyndi Lauper has hit number one on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart twice. After “Time After Time” spent two weeks at the top in June of 1984, exactly 30 years ago, “True Colors” matched that feat, rising to number one for its own two-week reign. To commemorate that anniversary, “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
