DEF: Dead or Alive “Misty Circles”

Pete Burns, the frontman for Liverpool, England-based band Dead or Alive, passed away on Sunday at the age of 57. Dead or Alive are best known for their two Top 20 hits, “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” and “Brand New Lover,” which were among their five appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, all in the 1980s. In memory of Burns, today’s Daily Eighties Flashback is the band’s first song released on a major record label, “Misty Circles,” which did not hit the Hot 100, but did reach number 4 on the U.S. Dance Club Play chart.
