DEF: Lee Ritenour “Cross My Heart”
Over the past four and a half decades, Los Angeles-born guitarist Lee Ritenour has been one of the most prolific jazz musicians in the industry, both as a contributor for others’ work and as a musician in his own right. In the early 1980s, Ritenour made two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in conjunction with his own work. On this date in 1982, the second of those two hits, “Cross My Heart,” which featured Illinois-born singer Eric Tagg on vocals, rose to a peak position of number 69. Today, “Cross My Heart” by Lee Ritenour is the Daily Eighties Flashback.
