Helena, Montana-born singer Nicolette Larson scored the biggest hit of her career in 1979, when her song “Lotta Love” reached number 8. She did, though, reach the Top 40 one more time, a little over a year later. On yesterday’s date in 1980, that second Top 40 hit — “Let Me Go, Love,” which also features Michael McDonald — climbed to a peak position of number 35.
