DEF: The Go-Go’s “We Got the Beat”

Los Angeles-based band The Go-Go’s made seven appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with five of those songs hitting the Top 40 and two reaching the Top 10. The band’s biggest hit was their second hit, “We Got the Beat,” which exactly 35 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 2, where it would spend three weeks.
