DEF: Diana Ross “Chain Reaction”
As a member of The Supremes and then as a solo act, pop music superstar Diana Ross made over 70 appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, spanning from the early 1960s to the mid-1980s. Ross’ last song to make the chart actually charted twice, in two different versions. In late 1985, her song “Chain Reaction” spent three weeks on the chart, peaking at number 95. Then, a few months later, a new version of the song fared a little better, rising to a peak position of number 66 on this date in 1986. “Chain Reaction” by Diana Ross is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
