DEF: Merle Haggard “Goin’ Home for Christmas”
Thirty-five years ago, for the 1982 Christmas season, Merle Haggard released the album Goin’ Home for Christmas. While the album contained a few holiday standards, much of it consisted of new material written by Haggard himself. Among the new songs was the album’s lead song, which was also the album’s title track and is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
