It Happened 50 Years Ago: Tommy Roe “Dizzy”
Atlanta-born musician Tommy Roe made twenty-two appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, with eleven of those songs hitting the Top 40 and six reaching the Top 10. Roe’s biggest hit was the second of his two number one hits, “Dizzy,” which exactly 50 years ago rose to the top of the chart for a four-week reign.
