Birthday of the Week: Leonard Cohen

This week’s Birthday of the Week is Leonard Cohen. Cohen is, of course, known for both his five decades of work ranging from the mid-1960s to the mid-2010s, leading up to his death in 2016, as well as his immense influence on other musicians. This Saturday (September 21) would have been Cohen’s 85th birthday.

To commemorate his birthday, let us know what your favorite Leonard Cohen song is. I could easily choose at least a half dozen here, but in the end, in large part because of its use in the 1990 film Pump Up the Volume, my favorite is “Everybody Knows.”
