25 Years Ago in the Nineties: The Beatles “Free as a Bird”
In November 1995, Anthology 1, the first of three compilation albums of The Beatles‘ music, was released. The new song “Free as a Bird,” which added vocals and instrumentation from other members of the band over material John Lennon recorded in the late 1970s, was released as a single, and exactly 25 years ago climbed to a peak position of number 6.
