Maureen McGovern‘s self-titled 1979 album produced three hits on Billboard‘s Adult Contemporary chart, the first two of which also hit the Hot 100. On yesterday’s date in 1980, the third song — a remake of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” — began a two-week run at a peak position of number 27 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
