Over the past six decades, Neil Young has made numerous appearances on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, including both his solo work and his time with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. His only song to top the chart is “Heart of Gold,” which exactly 50 years ago, climbed to the top of the chart for a one-week reign.
