Rush Cleveland 4-15 Concert Review
Rush lit up the stage last Friday night to a packed Cleveland Q Arena. I have seen Rush perform in-person each decade and this was one of the most energetic performances to date. Did I mention the event was being recorded for a fall 2011 DVD release? Cleveland was special in the early years of the band because heavy of radio play.
In regards to Rush’s 2011 Time Machine Tour performance, the song selection and line-up of songs was nicely done. The video segments during each song were perfectly synchronized. I noticed that some of the songs like Working Man were abbreviated to coordinate with the video sequence. The most electrifying tunes that got the crowd singing along were instrumental songs like YYZ. The only thing I would say is Geddy’s voice was a bit screechy at times. Overall, Rush rocked the stage and is worth every penny on this tour.
