Happy 50th Birthday to Boy George!

George O’Dowd, known to the world as “Boy George,” turns 50 years old today.  Between 1982 and 1993, Boy George hit the top 20 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart a total of 10 times.  The first 9 of them were with Culture Club and included both “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” and “Time (Clock of the Heart)” rising to number 2, as well as his biggest hit, “Karma Chameleon,” which spent 3 weeks at number 1 in February 1984.  His final hit was his solo venture “The Crying Game,” which went to number 15 in 1993.

“Karma Chameleon,” which is featured above, is my favorite song by Boy George/Culture Club.  What’s yours?
