Happy 30th Birthday to Beyoncé

Beyoncé Knowles celebrates her 30th birthday today.  First as part of Destiny’s Child and then in her solo career, Beyoncé has been one of the most successful U.S. popular music artists of the last decade and a half.  That success includes 9 number one singles on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart (4 of which were with Destiny’s Child) and a host of other Top 10 and Top 40 hits.  Beyoncé’s biggest hit among this incredible run?  In terms of chart performance, Destiny’s Child’s “Independent Women Part I” tops the list with 11 weeks at number 1, just ahead of Beyoncé’s “Irreplaceable,” which spent 10 weeks at the top and is featured above.  In terms of sales, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” marks Beyoncé’s greatest success with over 4 million copies sold.  Overall, it makes for a pretty impressive career upon reaching 30.
