A Thousand Miles, Ten Years

By far the biggest hit of Vanessa Carlton’s career, “A Thousand Miles” peaked at number 5 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart exactly 10 years ago today.  Carlton would also hit number 30 with her followup single, “Ordinary Day,” but has not scored another top 40 hit since.

Still, Carlton, who turns 32 later this year, continues to put out music.  Her most recent studio album, Rabbits on the Run, was released in July 2011.  For more on Vanessa Carlton, check out her official website.
