The Lady In Red
Exactly 25 years ago today, Chris de Burgh peaked at number three on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart with “The Lady In Red.” It was far and away the biggest hit of the Irish singer’s career, though it was actually the second of two top 40 hits he would score, following “Don’t Pay The Ferryman,” which rose to number 34 in 1983.
De Burgh continues to play and record music, including his latest album, Footsteps 2, which was released in October 2011, and a host of international tour dates scheduled for 2012-2013. For more on Chris de Burgh, check out his official website.
