Sugar Ray
California-based band Sugar Ray gained national attention in the United States in 1997 with their song “Fly” from their Floored album. “Fly,” though, was never released as a single, which made it ineligible to appear on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart at that time. (The rules have since been changed.)  So, it wasn’t until nearly two years later that the band first hit the Hot 100, and when they did, that single, “Every Morning,” peaked at number 3 exactly 15 years ago. Sugar Ray followed up “Every Morning” with one more Top 10 hit, “Someday,” which peaked at number 7 later that same year.
