DEF: The Motels “Shame”

Berkeley, California-based band The Motels are most remembered for their two Top 10 hits in the 1980s, “Only The Lonely” and “Suddenly Last Summer.” The band did, though, have two more Top 40 hits, and the second of those two — the Motels’ final Top 40 hit — peaked at number 21 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart on this date in 1985.
