Boston-based New Edition is perhaps as much known for launching the careers of its various members as it is for the numerous singles the group has landed on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart over the past three decades. Four of New Edition’s singles have hit the Top 10, including the group’s breakout hit, “Cool It Now.” Exactly 30 years ago, “Cool It Now” hit its peak position of number 4, where it would spend one week.
