DEF: Kansas “All I Wanted”
The band Kansas, which takes its name from its home state, became widely known in the late 1970s with its Top 20 hits “Carry On My Wayward Son” and “Dust In The Wind.” Kansas continued to enjoy success in the 1980s, adding two more Top 20 hits on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart to their resume. In 1982, the band reached number 17 with “Play The Game Tonight.” Then, on this date in 1987, the band’s final Top 20 hit, “All I Wanted,” peaked at number 19 for one week.
