Title Title on the Tenth: “Mother”

In this past month’s Title Title, Phil Collins shut out Maroon 5, Amber, and Streek to win the “One More Night” Title Title. This month, in celebration of Mother’s Day, the Title Title involves songs named “Mother.”

Three times a song named “Mother” has reached Billboard‘s Hot 100. Two of those appearances came in 1971 with the same song recorded by different artists. John Lennon reached number 43 that year with his song titled “Mother,” which Barbra Streisand remade and took to number 79. Fast-forward a couple of decades, and New Jersey-based band Danzig reached number 43 with their song titled “Mother” in 1994.

For the purposes of this month’s Title Title, we’ll pit Lennon’s original “Mother” against Danzig’s “Mother” and ask you to determine which is the best. You can check out both songs and vote below.
