DEF: The World Class Wreckin Cru “Turn Off The Lights”

Over the past two and a half decades, Dr. Dre has become one of the biggest names in rap and hip hop. Before building that highly successful solo career, Dre was a member of Los Angeles-based group The World Class Wreckin Cru, which released a couple of albums in the mid-1980s.

The group made it to Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart once, with the single “Turn Off The Lights,” which on this date in 1988 reached a peak position of number 84, where it would spend one week.
