It Happened 50 Years Ago: Rolling Stones “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”

Since their first appearance on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in 1964, the Rolling Stones have amassed 41 Top 40 hits, of which 23 reached the Top 10 and 8 climbed to number one. Amid all of that, the band’s biggest hit remains their first chart-topping single, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” which was also their sixth Top 40 single and third single to hit the Top 10. Exactly 50 years ago, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” climbed into the number one position for a four-week stay.
