Atlantic Starr

If you attended a wedding or a prom in 1987, there’s a really good chance that you heard the song “Always” by Atlantic Starr at some point during the event.  That song, which was the New York-based group’s biggest hit, topped Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart for one week exactly 25 years ago today.  It was the second of three top five hits that Atlantic Starr would enjoy during their career.  The others two both peaked at number three: “Secret Lovers” in March 1986 and “Masterpiece” in April 1992.
