DEF: Bill Conti “The Right Stuff”

As you likely know by now, John Glenn, the last living member of the seven astronauts who constituted “the Mercury Seven,” passed away a few days ago at the age of 95. The story of the Mercury Seven was detailed in the 1979 Tom Wolfe book The Right Stuff, which was made into a film released in 1983. In tribute to Glenn, renowned composer Bill Conti’s theme song for the film is today’s Daily Eighties Flashback.
