Bill Withers 1938-2020

News is circulating today that Bill Withers passed away on Monday at the age of 81. To honor Withers, let us know your favorite and/or most vivid memories involving his music.

There are so many possibilities here, but my most cherished memories with one of Withers’ songs involves “Just the Two of Us,” which has Grover Washington on lead vocals, but features Withers as well and was co-written by Withers. I routinely sing the chorus to my family, but I include a couple extra “Yous” to make the line “‘You, you, you and I” to include not only my wife, but also my kids.
