Birthday of the Week: Mike Post
This week’s Birthday of the Week is Mike Post, who is known for his prolific career writing television themes. Post turns 70 today.
To commemorate his milestone, let us know your favorite musical work by Mike Post. Personally, I’m torn among a lot of great options, including Joey Scarbury’s “Theme from The Greatest American Hero (Believe It or Not),” which Post co-wrote, and a number of great television themes such as Doogie Hoser, M.D. and Magnum, P.I. In the end, though, the theme from Hill Street Blues inches above the rest of the competition for me.
