Birthday of the Week: Pete Burns

This week’s Birthday of the Week is Pete Burns, who was the lead singer of Dead or Alive. Burns, who passed away in 2016, would have turned 60 tomorrow (August 5).

In commemoration of Burns’ birthday, let us know what your favorite song by Dead or Alive is. The big ones, of course, are their two Top 20 hits in the U.S., “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” and “Brand New Lover.” I’m compelled, though, to pick their first song to hit the U.K. chart, “Mystic Circles,” which was also used as the B-side of “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).”
