Can’t Nobody Hold Him Down
New York-born hip hop artist Sean Combs has become one of the biggest names in popular music over the last decade and a half, though perhaps it’s more appropriate to say that he has become several of the biggest names in popular music in that time, as he has gone by a variety of names, such as Diddy, P. Diddy, and Puff Daddy.
In that time, Combs has appeared at number one as a lead or featured artist on five different songs, the very first of which hit the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart exactly 15 years ago today when “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” ascended to the top for the first week of a six-week run for Puff Daddy featuring Mase.
