Chuck Berry 1926-2017

As you’ve likely heard by now, rock ‘n’ roll legend Chuck Berry passed away yesterday at the age of 90. Berry is known for some of early rock ‘n’ roll’s most classic hits, including “Maybellene,” “Rock & Roll Music,” and “Johnny B. Goode,” all of which hit the Top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart in the mid to late 1950s. It wasn’t, though, until 1972 that Berry hit number one for the first and only time in his career. In October 1972 Berry’s song “My Ding-A-Ling” spent two weeks at the top of the chart.
