All three songs from Earl Thomas Conley’s 1984 Treadin’ Water album that hit Billboard‘s Hot Country Singles chart reached number one. Exactly 40 years ago, the first of that trio of hits, “Chance of Lovin’ You,” rose to the top of the chart for one week.
