Amid a run of hitting number one with twenty-one straight songs to appear on Billboard‘s Hot Country Singles chart, Alabama reached the top of the chart with four songs from their 1984 album Roll On. Exactly 35 years ago, the last of those four songs, “(There’s a) Fire in the Night,” ascended to the pinnacle position for its one-week reign.
